Dr. Baird is a Board-Certified and Fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and women's athletic wellness. A stellar college soccer player herself at the College of William and Mary, she was a scholar athlete and led her team to 4 NCAA appearances and 3 conference championships. She completed her fellowship at the renowned Andrew's Institute caring for many of the country's star collegiate and professional athletes. Dr. Baird's award-winning orthopaedic practice includes a 12-year medical career in the US Navy, where LCDR Baird held leadership roles including General Medical Officer and Department Head during a two year deployment onboard an amphibious landing ship, the USS Germantown (LSD-42), as well as Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Naval Hospital Pensacola (NHP). Her military career included extensive training in combat care and extensive orthopaedic injuries. She has contributed frequently to research projects, books, and peer-reviewed publications and has presented on topics from overhead athletic shoulder injuries to fracture care, arthroscopy, hand injuries, and more.

Thomas Barbour, III, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in hand and microvascular surgery who specializes in elbow, hand and wrist procedures. He has a special interest in reconstructive surgery of the elbow, wrist and hand. He also specializes in arthroscopic surgery of the elbow and wrist as well as endoscopic carpal tunnel release.

Dr. Barbour earned a medical degree at The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama. He completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. He completed a fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery at the Duke University School of Medicine, in Durham, North Carolina.

Michael J. Blackmer, D.O., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with experience in reconstructive orthopaedics of the hip, knee and shoulder and robotic-assisted, minimally invasive techniques, including anterior approach total hip replacement.

Dr. Blackmer earned a medical degree from the Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the Michigan State University and McLaren Greater Lansing in Lansing, Michigan, with additional training at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and UPMC Pinnacle Memorial Hospital in York, Pennsylvania. Joey Carter, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with experience in a wide variety of surgical specialties with a special interest in sports medicine. He has been with Bayside Orthopaedic for over 20 years.

Dr. Determann received a medical degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Michael A. Eslava, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who performs robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery. Dr. Eslava joined The Orthopaedic Group, P.C., after retiring with the United States Army after 24 years of service and achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Dr. Eslava's practice focuses on knee and shoulder surgery with an interest in sports medicine.

Dr. Frerichs earned a medical degree and completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of South Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama. He completed a foot and ankle fellowship at Desert Orthopedic Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. He then completed a second fellowship in sports medicine at the Andrews Institute in Northwest Florida.

Dr. Scott Glenzer is a board-eligible orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery. Born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, he moved to Mobile, Alabama, as a toddler and is excited to be a local resident. As a child, Dr. Glenzer enjoyed biology, physiology and anatomy, so he found himself drawn to the orthopaedic surgery field of medicine because it offers the perfect blend of these sciences.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of South Alabama, also going on to earn his medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. He completed his residency in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of South Alabama before going on to receive fellowship training in the hand and upper extremity at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Dr. Hulick is a fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon. He earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine, where he received the highest graduating honors and was valedictorian of his graduating class. Dr. Hulick completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center followed by a fellowship in Orthopaedic Trauma at the University of Missouri Orthopaedic Institute, where he also completed additional training in anterior total hip arthroplasty. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, AO Orthopaedic Trauma Foundation, Orthopaedic Trauma Association, and Alabama Orthopaedic Society.

Dr. Hulick specializes in treating complex fractures and dislocations throughout the body. Traumatic Injuries are often the result of a sudden accident that requires immediate medical attention.
