Board-certified orthopedic surgeon Monica L. Omey, M.D., joined Carlsbad Medical Center and Pecos Valley Physician Group in early 2023. Dr. Omey brings 24 years of experience to the community. She is a graduate of Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she also earned her medical degree. Dr. Omey completed her orthopedic surgery residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, and a sports medicine fellowship at Boston's Children's Hospital/Harvard Program.
