    Deryk Anderson, D.O., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a special interest in preventing and treating sports injuries. His other areas of interest include general orthopedic care and robotic-assisted hip and knee replacement.

    Dr. Anderson earned a medical degree at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri, and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Midwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. During his time in Chicago, he had the privilege of working with team physicians for multiple professional sports teams.

    Originally from the Kenai Peninsula, Dr. Anderson returned to his home state in 2015 after serving at an orthopedic practice in Oregon. He and his wife have four children. In addition to fishing, hunting and skiing, Dr. Anderson also assists various youth sport teams and works with the Eagle Scouts as an assistant scout master.

      Tucker Drury, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with expertise in general orthopedics, sports medicine and trauma care. He has a special interest in arthroscopic hip, knee and shoulder repairs and robotic-assisted joint replacement. Dr. Drury treats patients with a broad spectrum of orthopedic conditions and injuries.

      A veteran of the US Air Force, Dr. Drury twice served as a forward deployed solo orthopedic surgeon, including support of the Presidential Asia Tour in 2014. During his Air Force career, Dr. Drury was named the Pacific Air Force Physician of the Year. He also led the orthopedic department of the 673rd Medical Facility at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER) Hospital.

      Dr. Drury earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont, where he earned the university's Outstanding Resident Teacher Award. Dr. Drury's treats patients with a broad spectrum of orthopedic conditions. A former competitive soccer player, Dr. Drury enjoys alpine skiing and hunting. He and his wife have three children.

        Adam Ellison, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. Fellowship trained in two subspecialty areas - shoulder and elbow, and sports medicine, Dr. Ellison focuses on treating patients with shoulder and elbow injuries. He also has experience in caring for patients with hip and knee conditions, performing procedures such as ACL reconstruction surgery, total knee and total hip replacement.

        Dr. Ellison earned his medical degree at the Mayo Medical School in Rochester, Minnesota, and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Georgetown University Hospital, in Washington, D.C.

        In his free time, Dr. Ellison enjoys woodworking projects, playing basketball, tennis and volleyball, and spending time with his family in Alaska's great outdoors.

          Gene A. Falkowski, Jr., DO is a fellowship-trained orthopedic-spine surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted procedures of the spine and neck.

          Dr. Falkowski earned his medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Philadelphia, PA. He completed orthopedic surgery residency programs at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center/Pinnacle Health Hospital System and at Penn State Hershey Medical Center in Pennsylvania. He also completed a pediatric orthopedic surgery residency at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in Atlanta, GA, and an orthopedic spine surgery fellowship at the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, VA.

          Dr. Falkowski serves as a clinical instructor at the University of Washington School of Medicine and a volunteer team physician for UAA athletics.

          A former rugby player turned exercise enthusiast and mountain biker, Dr. Falkowski enjoys skiing, hiking, kayaking and biking in his time away from work. He also enjoys hunting, shooting, travel, paintball, beer-brewing and carpentry.

            Charles Haggerty, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who has completed three shoulder fellowships. In addition to his expertise with shoulder surgery, his interests include sports medicine, hip and knee joint replacement and orthopedic trauma.

            A veteran of the US Air Force, Dr. Haggerty served as Commander of the 966th Forward Surgical Team in Afghanistan, where he provided wartime trauma care to U.S. soldiers and NATO allies.

            Dr. Haggerty earned a Master of Science in health science at the School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, before attending medical school at Loyola University. After earning his medical degree, Dr. Haggerty completed an orthopedic residency with the U.S. Air Force in San Antonio, Texas. The areas of focus in his practice include shoulder reconstruction, arthroscopy of the shoulder, fracture repair and orthopedic trauma.

            Dr. Haggerty and his wife live in Palmer. He is passionate about mountain biking, snowboarding and learning the secrets to great Alaskan fishing.

              Dann Laudermilch, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a special interest in complex hand, wrist, elbow and arm conditions. Dr. Laudermilch is fellowship trained in hand and upper extremity orthopedics.

              Dr. Laudermilch received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA.

              A U.S. Air Force veteran, Dr. Laudermilch served as a general orthopedic staff surgeon at the 673rd Medical Facility at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER) Hospital, prior to undertaking his fellowship training. His practice focus includes microvascular surgery, sports injuries, wrist, elbow and shoulder arthroscopy, pediatric hand surgery, carpal tunnel syndrome and minimally invasive surgery.

              In his personal time, Dr. Laudermilch enjoys fishing, hunting, hiking and biking.

                Curtis Mina, M.D., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic-spine surgeon, who specializes in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted procedures.

                Dr. Mina earned his medical degree at Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina, and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, New York. He then completed a combined orthopedic-spine surgery-neurosurgery fellowship at Leatherman Spine Center in Louisville, Kentucky. He also earned a masters in business administration at Duke University's Fugua School of Business. Dr. Mina's practice focus includes minimally invasive spinal fusion, cervical disc replacement, scoliosis correction and other degenerative conditions and spinal deformities.

                Dr. Mina is passionate about the outdoors and enjoys hiking, climbing and mountaineering. He and his wife have two young children.

                  Michael Montano, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. Fellowship trained in sports medicine, Dr. Montano has expertise in a variety of surgical areas, including arthroscopic and minimally invasive robotic procedures for the knee and hip. He has a special interest in robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery.

                  Dr. Montano earned his medical degree at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, in Farmington, Connecticut, and completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts.

                  Dr. Montano served as the chair of the 2017 William J. Mills III All Alaska Orthopedic Conference. His special interests include sports medicine, robotic-assisted knee and hip replacement, ALC reconstruction, meniscal repair, carpal tunnel release, fracture repair and rotator cuff repair.

                  Dr. Montano and his wife are active in the Mat-Su Valley athletic community, where they assist with several community sports teams.

                    James Shaha, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine, with an emphasis on problems from the shoulder to the fingertips. Dr. Shaha is fellowship trained in sports medicine.

                    Dr. Shaha earned his medical degree from the University of Texas at Southwestern Medical Center and completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI. Dr. Shaha served on active duty in the US Army for five years, including tours of duty in South Korea, Germany and deployment in Afghanistan, prior to completing his fellowship training at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ. While at the Mayo Clinic, he worked with numerous college and professional sports teams, including the Arizona Coyotes of the NHL.

                    Dr. Shaha and his wife have four daughters. The Shahas enjoy traveling, biking and skiing as a family. Dr. Shaha also loves running. He has competed in multiple marathons, including the Boston Marathon and he has competed in the full-distance Ironman Triathlon.

                      Gregory Strohmeyer, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who was born and raised in Palmer, Alaska. Dr. Strohmeyer is Mat-Su Valley's only fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeon. His surgical specialties include trauma, fracture repair, pediatric orthopedics, hand surgery, foot and ankle surgery.

                      Dr. Strohmeyer earned a medical degree at Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University, in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of New Mexico, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

                      His areas of expertise include complex fractures of the upper and lower extremities, the pelvis and acetabulum, robotic-assisted knee and hip replacement, partial knee replacement, ACL reconstruction, meniscal repair, carpal tunnel release and shoulder reconstruction.

                      Dr. Strohmeyer and his wife, who is also from the Mat-Su Valley, have three children. When not practicing medicine, Dr. Strohmeyer enjoys hunting, fishing, flying, backcountry snow machining, playing hockey, snowboarding and mountain biking. He is pleased to have the opportunity to serve the community where he was raised.
