Michael J. Blackmer, D.O., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with experience in reconstructive orthopaedics of the hip, knee and shoulder and robotic-assisted, minimally invasive techniques, including anterior approach total hip replacement.

Dr. Blackmer earned a medical degree from the Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the Michigan State University and McLaren Greater Lansing in Lansing, Michigan, with additional training at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and UPMC Pinnacle Memorial Hospital in York, Pennsylvania. He went on to complete a fellowship in adult reconstruction at the University of Chicago Department of Orthopaedics in Chicago, Illinois. Michael A. Eslava, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who performs robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery. Dr. Eslava joined The Orthopaedic Group, P.C., after retiring with the United States Army after 24 years of service and achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Dr. Eslava's practice focuses on knee and shoulder surgery with an interest in sports medicine.

Dr. Eslava earned a medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama. He completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center/William Beaumont Army Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Dr. Frerichs earned a medical degree and completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of South Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama. He completed a foot and ankle fellowship at Desert Orthopedic Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. He then completed a second fellowship in sports medicine at the Andrews Institute in Northwest Florida.

Dr. Scott Glenzer is a board-eligible orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery. Born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, he moved to Mobile, Alabama, as a toddler and is excited to be a local resident. As a child, Dr. Glenzer enjoyed biology, physiology and anatomy, so he found himself drawn to the orthopaedic surgery field of medicine because it offers the perfect blend of these sciences.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of South Alabama, also going on to earn his medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. He completed his residency in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of South Alabama before going on to receive fellowship training in the hand and upper extremity at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

L. Dean Mason, II, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who performs robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery. With more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Mason enjoys treating general orthopedic injuries, sports injuries and all aspects of fracture care. He specializes in knee and shoulder surgery with an interest in sports medicine.

Dr. Mason earned a medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida. He completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama.

Thomas Gregory Terral, M.D., is a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in robotic-assisted joint replacements. With more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Terral has experience in a variety of surgical specialties including trauma-related musculoskeletal injuries and in joint reconstruction - a complex revision surgery technique to correct failed or painful joint replacements.

Dr. Terral earned a medical degree from the Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. He completed an orthopedic surgery residency and an internship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. He then went on to complete several trauma fellowships in Seattle, Washington, and Toronto, Canada. He also completed a fellowship in adult joint reconstruction at the Institute of Bone and Joint Disorders in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Terral is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Alabama Orthopaedic Society, the Arthroscopy Association of North America and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
